HOW ELECTRIC CAR SYSTEM WORKS

In present days Electric cars is common topic. Some companies change fuel vehicles with electrical vehicles. Electric cars is very good step by companies to save the nature and world. Because Electric cars produced very small amount of heat. So what is electric cars.
Electric car is an Automobile that is propelled by one or more electric motors. They use electrical energy stored in rechargeable batteries. Which batteries are recharged by common house electricity and some countries provide stations for recharging the batteries. The amount of pollution produced by electrical vehicle is depends on how electricity is made. The first electric car practical on produced in 1880. 
In electric cars two types of motors is used : brushed DC motor, and AC induction motors.
  • If the motor used in electric car is DC motor, then it may run from 96 to 192 volts.
  • If the motor used in electric car is AC motor, then it is a three phase AC motor running at 240 volts AC with a 300 volt battery pack.
DC motor is simpler and less expensive. DC motors have nice feature that you can overdrive them. AC motors with a specific size, shape or power rating easier.During braking, the AC motors turns into a generator and delivers power back to the batteries.
Electric batteries  used in vehicle is different from lighting and ignition batteries because they are designed to give power. Batteries used in electric cars is lead-acid, NiCD, Nickel-metal hydride and molten-salt batteries. The amount of energy stored in batteries is measured in ampere hours.

Electric motors is directly connected with wheels. Four wheel drive electric vehicle used four motors one on each wheel. two wheel drive used two motors.
The mainly asked question about electric cars is that Do electric cars have gears?
yes, Electric cars have gears . But it depends upon vehicle company how there gear system work and how many gears in system. For Example- The Tesla model S is equipped with a single-speed 9.73:1 step-down transmission, not even a two-speed transmission.there are two reasons. First, there are very few transmission capable of handling 600 Nm torque. Second, you can not spin wheels at 10,000rpm.
